The “ideal” Mom is rare, and therefore special.
A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
Proverbs 31:10
Mom is worth more than any precious jewel because…
- She _HONORS_ the father of her children.
Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
Proverbs 31:11, 12
- She gives her family the _BEST_SHE_CAN_GIVE_.
She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
She is like the merchant ships, bringing food from afar.
Proverbs 31:13, 14
- She takes care of her family’s _DAILY_NEEDS_.
… she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.
She watches over the affairs of her household…
Proverbs 31:15, 27
- She is _THOUGHTFUL_ and _DISCERNING_.
She considers a field and buys it…
She sees that her trading is profitable…
Proverbs 31:16, 18
- She is _DILIGENT_ and _TIRELESS_.
She gets up while it is still dark…
and her lamp does not go out at night.

- She is _GENEROUS_ and _COMPASSIONATE_.
She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
Proverbs 31:20
- She is _PREPARED_ for life’s challenges.
When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
Proverbs 31:21
- She is _MODEST_ and _DECENT_.
She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple…
She is clothed with strength and dignity.
Proverbs 31:22, 25
- She is _HOPEFUL_ about the future.
… she can laugh at the days to come.
Proverbs 31:25
- She speaks _TRUTH_ and _WISDOM_.
She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
